About the ME-JIM

The Middle East Journal of Internal Medicine is a new peer-reviewed journal to meet the needs of physicians, scientists, policymakers, and the patients and communities they serve in the Middle-East. The Journal will begin publication, online, in Oct 2008. The frequency will be initially once every 3 months for one year then once every two months.

The Mission of the Journal will be to promote the field of internal medicine in the Middle East. The journal will publish original clinical and educational research of interest to the medical field, practicing internists, internist in training and others involved in the internal medicine field and medical education. The journal also publishes special articles and commentaries about the fundamental concepts of medical education, as well as book reviews and international reports. It will foster the basic and applied sciences of internal medicine.

The aim of the journal will be to lift the standards of Internal Medicine in the Middle East. In addition to providing academically sound, clinically practical information for physicians to the promotion of the specialty of the internal medicine field in the Middle-East Region.
